Smith & Wesson Bodyguard 380 - Reassembly Slide will not go forward

I bought my Smith & Wesson Bodyguard a few years ago. It is a nice compact gun, fire nice but has a good kick that requires a good handle on the weapon.

Make sure you have the clip with the extra finger grip. It shoots rather smoothly, I've had no issue with the firing or the slide not locking back like some people have reported.

BUT the one thing I found is that when you clean it if you disassemble it by locking the slid back, then rotating the pin to release the slide.
The problem comes on reassembly. If you use your fingers to lock the slide back...like in the Image 3.

The slide will come off and you can take it apart easily really only a few pieces to clean the spring, the Barrel and the lower receiver.

This is probably the easiest way to get the pin back in but it will not allow the slide to go all the way forward as in Image 4.

The way to do this is make sure when you put the slide back on the weapon, you have the barrel as far forward as possible, as seen in Image 5.

This way when you lock the pin in the slide will go all the way forward.

Floating sunglasses

Ever lost your glasses in the water?  I have.  I've also had to dive and search for others.  A simple solution found at a local fine shop makes your neck holder a floating sunglasses saver.

1 TB Canvio external HD

Excellent Lightweight and durable choice for an external 1 TB Drive
Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.
Review for: Toshiba CANVIO 1 TB,External,5400 RPM (E05A100PBU3XS) Hard Drive

This is by far one of the best, smallest and most portable of all the external storage devices out there. It is very lightweight which makes it easy to store in a laptop bag. It is very sturdy and seems to be built very well. There is no sound or movement of anything internal when shaking it or moving it around. It also is powered ONLY by the usb connection which is excellent since you don't want to have to plug it in and your laptop too. Also it has a very fast access time and is constantly available when you logon to your system. It is just another lettered drive and is very nice for a 1 TB external.

The Next Apple tablet?

As stated in ZDNet the next Apple tablet is to be announced in San Francisco on march 7th. See the article here. However it doesn't say much. As for me I still say no Quad-Core and also I really believe that since there is no HYPE around this At ALL. It is going to be a big 4s let down. Which I think we all know that it's not really 4 's's its just a four letter word that starts with S. So Lets see if the Post-Jobs Apple throws another crappy thing towards their masses to get them to spend more for something that they already have.

iPAD 3 - What Tim Cook has to do with Technology

Apple is one of the most successful tech Companies on the Planet! It's unique appeal to the artsy, independents and drive to be more socially acceptable "cooler" than the rest has really been what has set it apart.  In the coming months the iPad 3 will make a debut and if Tim Cook has anything to do with it here's what he said as a summary to this article in PC magazine.
  • No Quad Core Processor (don't want the battery life sucked out of it)
  • No need to upgrade cameras (facetime is cool and it does take "OK" pictures but who uses a camera that's that big NO ONE)
  • Not Smaller. If you want something smaller and it HAS to be an Apple device use a iPhone or a iPod Touch.
  • May not be 4G. (COST, BATTERY LIFE and SPEEDS of WiFi are its enemy)
  • 3D (this is a waste in just about every tech device in my opinion BUT for gamers and serious tv watchers that think they are now vampires.)
That is a basic summary of what PCMag has to say about what Tim Cook had to say.

My personal thoughts are this.
  • Make it available in multiple colors, the artsy always go for that crap.
  • Make it foldable. why not be able to fold the device into a smaller more compact device (maybe not for the 3rd version but future could see this.
  • Work on it being a more clear piece of glass. Like the Apple stores that would be the coolest most sought after device ever.
  • Make it able to use multiple streams of WiFi if available and in signal range. It would be able to strengthen current signals or use multiple to increase speeds.
Just a few thoughts on what could be cool. There's a certain point where the technology becomes mute and is just inherent and then it comes down to discriminators. He who has the coolest device wins....Apple should know this they took a computer changed the outward appearance and made it new again.

iPad - A review of an Extra Device

So I have my Smart Phone and I have my laptop. Now I should go out and buy another "thing" to do all the things my current Phone already does without some of the features I already have on my phone. Lets see rather than cover the things it does. Lets just start with these.

A) all of the things my SmartPhone does already.

Ok so with thay out of the way lets go with what it doesn't do.
It doesn't have phone capabilities. It can't Multi task...yet. It doesn't run Flash. It's too big to be used as a GPS in my car. And a multitude of other things that both my Phone and Laptop already Do. SO for me Thumbs down. But hey if you wanna drop $400 - $500 bucks to say you have one then more power to you. But save your money and in the next 6 months SOMETHING (ANYTHING) will come around thats BETTER.
